Birth Doula Service

how-i-helpOur Time Together:

  • Initial Interview – Our first meeting, we discuss your needs and desires for your birth as well as to determine if we are a good fit. It is important to feel trust and comfort with the doula you choose.
  • Pre-Birth Planning – (2-4 hours split into 2 visits) I come to you!
This is our time to use however we need;  relax, get to know each-other,  understand all the changes coming your way, develop a birth plan, discuss your wants/needs for your ‘ideal’ birth and how I can help you implement those desires, discuss partner/spouse’s role, discuss me in a support role, discuss and practice comfort techniques, etc.
  • Phone support – I am available by phone/text throughout your entire pregnancy.
  • Unlimited email support – I may not always be online but will do my best to respond to emails quickly.
  •  Access to any resources – I have resources available for pregnancy, labor, delivery, breast feeding, and more.
  • On Call Availability – I am on-call 24/7 for 2 weeks prior to your EDD (estimated due date) until you deliver.
  • Continuous labor support – I will join you for labor support whether at your home, hospital or birth center.
  • Continual support after the birth – I provide support 1-2 hours post-delivery to help establish breast feeding and ease transition.  Email and phone support for 2 weeks postpartum.
  • Postpartum visit – Recount birth experience, answer questions, and address any concerns.

 Fee: $1250+

Sliding up scale. A deposit of 625 is required to save your date on my calendar. Next payment of 625 is due 3 weeks prior to your estimated due date (37 weeks). The suggested total price for Doula care is $1250-$2250. At the postpartum visit, a final opportunity for payment on the sliding up scale allows clients to ‘tip’, if they feel inclined,  an additional $100-$600 which is never required. Families can feel confident that they have the choice to pay what they think is fair based on performance and reliability at their birth.
